Acceptable Use Policies
for the Association of Knowledgework

Your membership application to the Association of Knowledgework (AOK) constitutes implied agreement to the following Acceptable Use Policies, Code of Conduct and Terms of Participation.

The Association of Knowledgework (AOK) is a service to knowledge workers and knowledge managers. Avigdor Sharon, chief executive and lead facilitator of AOK is the owner and contact of the AOK web site, forum and community media. They are all intended as a free service for you and other knowledge workers, managers and experts. There are no costs involved, just the willingness to discuss, share, learn, consult and discover together and the commitment to follow the code of conduct.

Access to and use of the AOK Community Network, the information made available, the services provided, and any derivative use thereof, are subject to the code of conduct and terms of participation set forth herein and all applicable laws. The  lead facilitator reserves the right to remove any objectionable material or terminate any member for misuse of services which contravene these agreements of fair conduct and participation or to disunite participants who fail to follow the spirit of the code of conduct and terms of participation.

Code of Conduct and Terms of Participation

1. You will use the AOK Community Network in the spirit of its stated purposes.

2. You accept responsibility to keep your postings accurate and current.

3. You will not abuse the information provided by reselling it, by using it for commercial or political purposes, for mass communications or to invade the privacy of others through unwelcome communications.

4. You accept the rights of all people to free association in the use of the AOK Community Network except where the Owner has determined that their information or behavior contravenes the Acceptable Use Policies. You will in no way interfere with that right, act or communicate with threat or hostility, or attempt to alter information or communications that do not belong to you.

5. You will not post or transmit objectionable material and will communicate courteously and with regard to the feelings of others.

6. You will observe and obey the rules of copyright and personal property.

7. You will not use the AOK networks for illegal activities.

8. You agree that neither the Owners nor any of their affiliates, agents and partners are responsible for any damages of any type that you may incur through use of the AOK Community Network.

9. You agree to observe all copyrights and limitations on use of AOK discussion groups and the information posted in them.

10. By continued use of the AOK Community Network you accept that this Agreement applies to you, and agree you will abide by all the terms and conditions contained herein.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Liability

The Owners provide the content and services of AOK "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, and the Owners, their affiliates, and agents do not warrant the accuracy, authority, completeness, usefulness, timeliness, noninfringement, or fitness of information provided by and through AOK for any purpose. Neither the Owners, their affiliates or agents shall be liable to you or anyone else for any loss or injury caused in whole or part, due to the use of information and services which are submitted to, referenced by or linked to AOK.

The content of AOK website, Community Network could include technical, typographical or other inaccuracies. Editing will take place as needed and such editing is included in this disclaimer of warranties and liability.

Modifications

These policies are always available at the AOK website. They may be modified from time to time; modifications will be posted to the group as they occur. An original copy and subsequent modified copies will also be kept in the Owners' file and are the authentic documents of record.
